Understanding DIGITAL Photography Seminar The Small Business Center at One Dozen Who Care, Inc, (ODWC) will host an Understanding Digital Photography Seminar Wednesday, April 30 and Monday, May 5, 2008 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Registration is required as seats are limited. Call 828-321-2273. ODWC is located at 65 Wilson Street, Andrews, Suite 6. People are developing interests in digital photography for many reasons. The fact that "consumer" digital cameras are becoming less expensive and are producing better quality images, has made owning a digital camera as common as owning a cell phone - (or, a cameraphone, for that matter). With the click of a button, and an LCD panel, we can be instantly gratified. But the gratification can quickly lead to frustration and disappointment if we fail to understand the DIGITAL in digital photography. Just the word "DIGITAL" may bring about the same anxiety some people face when using computers for the first time. This seminar will introduce participants to basic concepts that will help them have a more enjoyable Digital Photography experience. This introductory seminar will be a pre-requisite to upcoming Digital Photography seminars that will be held at One Dozen Who Care, Inc. To be eligible for future classes, participants will have had to attend the Understanding Digital Photography, or demonstrate a basic understanding of digital photography. Ronda Birtha, the Director of the Small Business Center at One Dozen Who Care, Inc., and photography instructor at the Community Folklife Documentation Institute at Duke University, will be conducting the seminar.
