Dale Sattelmeier

Dale Dean Sattelmeier, age 75, of Hayesville, NC went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

Dale was born in Enid, Oklahoma on October 16, 1932 and was the son of the late Otto and Minnie Sattelmeier. Dale served in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. After his military service he moved to the orange groves of Central Florida and worked with Champion Spark Plug Company as a field engineer. He grew up on a farm and loved the land. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and riding motorcycles on the wooded trails. Dale was an active member of Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville, NC.

Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Sattelmeier and a son, Brent Stewart Sattelmeier.

Dale is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Jo Magill Sattelmeier, a son Brock Wayne Sattelmeier and wife Tanya of Kennesaw, Georgia; a daughter, Cherisa Jo Sattelmeier of Eustis, Florida; four grandsons, Brock Evan, Brent Wayne, Brian Dean and James Brogan; three sisters Ellen Meier of Garber Oklahoma, Loyce Peterson of Dickenson, Texas and Avis Garrett of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A Memorial Service is planned for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville NC. Rev. Jacob Kyker and Rev. Gwinnell Hunter will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church in Hayesville, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made In Memory of Dale Dean Sattelmeier to the Oak Forest United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 152, Hayesville, NC, 28904.
