Murphy - This semester Murphy High School's Video Production II class started airing a newscast - once a week! WDOG: The Paw was first aired February 13th - during third block. The news crew consisted of Co-Anchors: Jose Alvarez and Brittany Nicholson, Sports Report: Andrews Nichols, and Weather / MHS birthdays: Heather Roberts. The filming and editing of the newscast was done by the WDOG crew - Joe Palmer, Brittney Kingsley and Aubrey Rey.
WDOG was not just a rehash of the announcements they interviewed seniors, teachers, and highlighted events at MHS and Murphy in general. The news crew wrote their own scripts, decided on locations for filming and brainstormed about news ideas. We discussed the fifty anniversary of Murphy High School, highlighted Relay for Life Idol, the Spring Fling performance, band performances, sporting events and the MHS teacher of the year. Our last news cast will be Friday, May the 30th!
I would like to personally thank all my video II students for their hard work and dedication. These students went above and beyond their duty to make WDOG a wonderful project!! Thank you guys, I couldn't have done it without you!!!!! - Ms. Dana Anderson.
