TCCC Golf Tournament Winners

FIRST GROSS '08: First Gross winning team the 2nd Annual Tri-County Community College Foundation Golf Tournament are Tim Gasperson of Pisgah Forest, Bart Griffin of Pisgah Forest, Scott Runyan of Murphy; and Stuart Wayman of Murphy.
The Tri-County Community College Foundation held its second annual Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 19 at The Ridges Resort in Hayesville. Twenty-six teams competed for more than $3,500 in prizes.

The First Place Gross winning team split a $1,000 prize. They are Tim Gasperson of Pisgah Forest, Bart Griffin of Pisgah Forest, Scott Runyan of Murphy; and Stuart Wayman of Murphy.

The First Place Net winning team split a $1,000 prize. They are David Johnson, Brogdon Wiseman, Al Hoo, and Jeff Riffle,all from Murphy.

The Second Place Gross winning team split a $500 prize. They are Tim Anderson of Blairsville, Dex Hubbard, Sr. of Murphy, Butch Graham of Murphy and Ashley Panter of Murphy.

The Second Place Net winning team split a $500 prize. They are Billy Bruce of Murphy, Gary Phillips of Murphy, Jeff Swain, of Murphy, and Mike Trammell of Andrews.

The Third Place Gross winning team split the $320 prize. They are Brandon Beasley of Sylva, Rick Curtis of Murphy, Tim Hughes of Murphy, and Bill Ruegge of Blairsville.

The Third Place Net winning team split a $320 prize. They are Hugh Carringer of Brasstown, Lyle Carringer of Murphy, Weaver Carringer of Brasstown, and Mark Vaughn of Hayesville.

Prizes were also awarded for Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin for both men and women. Winners received a box of golf balls.

The Tri-County Community College Foundation would like to thank those companies, organizations, and individuals whose generous support helped make the event possible.

Proceeds from the tournament go to support the Tri-County Community College Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the College by providing resources and acting as a catalyst with the community. Foundation projects include scholarships, college and community events, financial assistance to student organizations, college facilities improvements, fundraising for the Fire and Rescue Training Center, and a planned giving program.
