Festival promises culture
The shaded Hayesville Square provides the perfect background for over 70 artists to display handmade arts and crafts. Choose among unique works of art in various fields such as potter, gourd art, acrylic, oil, and watercolor painting, photography, stained glass, jewelry, and much more. Continuous entertainment keeps finger snappin' with Saturday's line-up of traditional and bluegrass music by Don Fox and Kerry Warpington, "Mo Buckner and Tim Brown" with great original tunes and voices to match , banjo pickers David Ledford, Kenneth Ledford, and Alvin Ledford in their "Pendland Shopeasy Band", a-cappalla ensemble "Cheaper Than Therapy", and clogging dance troupes " Sweetheart Cloggers, and "John C. Campbell Folk School Cloggers". Bands "Gnarly Fingers." " Butternut Creek" and duo "Trees Leave" perform foot stompin' favorites on Sunday.
