Festival on the Square a great success Dear Editor, Our 29th annual Festival on the Square was a huge success. Even the rain on Sunday did not dampen our spirits. This festival could not have happened without the volunteer efforts of the members of our organization, as well as many people who did not belong to our council. We thank each and every one of our worked so diligently. We especially wish to thank our sponsors who contributed money to help defray the cost of the festival. We also wish to thank those who contributed their services or products. The Clay County Historical and Arts Council depends on support form the community. In turn, we try to give back to the community by using funds from our festival and other sources. We hope that our festival itself benefits the community by bringing visitors to the area that will eat, sleep, and buy in our county. The Council supports and sponsors several programs throughout the year to benefit both the youth and adults of our county.
We appreciate the many people, businesses, and organization that helped make our Festival weekend one of the best yet. We could not have done it without you. If you are not a member of the Clay County Historical and Arts Council, we invite you to become one.
