Artists displaying work in local show
North Georgia nature the subject and inspiration of latest works

Contributed Photo ACCOMPLISHED: Glass sculptor David Goldhagen, impressionist Linda Rubenstein, painter Susan Phillips and photographer Bob Haff.
Five of this areas most accomplished artists will be showing their work on the weekend of July 24-25 at the "little art gallery" in Young Harris (across from Young Harris College, next to Machete's). While each artist has their own unique style, all draw inspiration from the natural beauty of North Georgia for their subjects.

Glass sculptor- David Goldhagen uses traditional methods to create each individual piece work including his sculptural forms and massive glass-blown platters. approach to art glass marries bold colors to brilliant, clear crystal in a clean, modern style as he creates both art glass and functional pieces.

Linda Rubenstein, an accomplished American Impressionist artist, works in oils using a palette knife to capture local landscapes in vivid colors. From Sunflowers to Sunsets on the lake, her paintings are gentle and thought provoking.

Photographer Bob Haff - His work includes shots of local waterfalls, barns, the lake and native flowers and foliage, with breathtaking close-ups of flowers and colorful fall scenes that show nature in its' finest moments.

Gifted painter Susan Phillips paints realistic subjects in oils. They are often of waterfalls, mountains and forest scenes. Her work has been shown both in the Georgia State Capitol Building and the US Senate Rotunda in Washington, D.C.

Jeweler, Amanda Santomauro, has been designing jewelry since 2002. Her pieces are one-of-akind. Some are set in semi-precious stones, sterling silver and Swarovski crystals.
