The Ridges discounts for cans
The golf course hopes to help the Clay Co. Food pantry with discount program.

The Ridges CC and the Clay County Food Pantry have teamed up to benefit the needy in our area.

Kyle Mack the Head Golf Professional at the Ridges Country Club has proposed a novel idea in attempting to help the Clay County Food Pantry.

He is going to provide a $2.00 discount on green fees for every can of food brought in by prospective golfers, there is an unlimited number of cans you can bring in to cover your green fee. This offer will apply during the month of October.

The cans of food will be sent over to the food pantry to go into boxes and distributed to those in need.

As you know the Clay County Food Pantry, provides food for those in the Clay County area who qualify for assistance.

Approximately 180 boxes are given out weekly to individuals and families. With the high prices of fuel and food, it is anticipated that many more people will begin to avail themselves of the food pantry service.

Also discounted food at food banks have been hit by high prices, and dwindling supplies.

The money to purchase food has primarily come from the generosity of local church parishioners, and from "food banks" offering discounted food, but again, our dollars go less these days. So golfers, you can help!

Bring your cans of food to the Ridges, get a great round of golf at a beautiful golf club, and play for a fantastic discount. Remember a case of food (24 cans) can get you $48 off your greens fees!!!!!!
