Glenn Daryl Allen
Glenn Daryl Allen, 48 of South Brooks Cove Road in Hayesville, NC, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at his home. He was a native of Orlando, FL and had lived in Asheville, NC before moving to Hayesville in 1994. Glenn was a selfless, loving and giving friend, who had a special way of lifting the spirits of everyone who met him. He was spiritual, intuitive and fair-minded, and joyfully shared his life with his friends. He was an artist with a special eye for beauty, color and design. Glenns love for his pets was exceeded only by his love for his friends and family. He used his love of music, dance and fun to enrich the everyday lives of his friends. No matter what, he always radiated love and joy to everyone. He was a son of the late Hollis Emerson and Gloria Joyce Morton Allen. Glenn is survived by his partner and companion of 20 years, Steve Garrett of the home; two brothers, Hollis Emerson Allen, Jr and his wife of Candler, NC and Mike Allen and his wife of Candler, NC; a sister, Janet Allen-Ziller and her husband David of Black Mountain, NC and 11 nieces and nephews.
